Dreaming Causality

I dreamed that a relative was suffering. In pain and as I reach out, with impatience to strike her she transformed into an old man. Then the old man transformed into a child. I recognized with tears, my son, my son, and I held the baby.

On waking I could see the world anew. I began to sense that cause happens before the effect. Karma in all of it's mysteries seeks to pass on what we were to whom we must become.

Then I beheld a waking dream where I recognized that how we treat others can be the cause of their ill-mannered behavior. The case of whether the horse or the cart came first is irrelevant. To develop, we must put the history of causality in our rear view mirror. Instead we can define a new way forward precipitated by calculated causality.
